Skyhawk Dog Group Poo Patrol
Let's prevent any potential bacteria from entering our creeks before the rainy season begins. An inch of rain is expected this weekend, 9/18, so let's get to it! If you have a backyard area your pup loves to poo in, pick it up and track it. Or if you see any extraneous bags out and about that are not your dogs, the other part of the challenge is to pick it up and dispose of this waste properly.
If you think your backyard is a "safe area" and your pup's poo cannot make it to the creek, you may not realize that any backyard drains which prevent flooding also carry bacteria and other contaminants to the storm drain system which flow to our creeks without any treatment. Let's keep Skyhawk Creek clean. Go team!
